Cape Cod

For many, it’s the beaches and the sea,

the sand and surf, the horizon that lends

itself to reverie. For some, it’s flea

markets, swap shops, the traffic on Route 6,

souvenir shells, a P’town shopping spree.

Some come for the squawk of the gulls, tricks

of the light, the sight of a guy who spends

his last dime on oysters at Moby Dick’s.

For us, September, and music, and friends.
