Artisans

They’re all around us — artisans. They’re weavers,

shoemakers, binders of books, alone

in their workshops, disregarding the give

and take of commerce, honoring their own

vision of what to do and their own rules

for doing it right. They make things. They hone

their skills on the stone of practice. Their true

north is loving what they do. They believe

in beauty and the mastery of tools.
