see you next time

and then there were the Jacobsons

(out of luck and on the run)

the Brodericks declined to show

(we all sniggered, wanting to know)

Randy and spouse added charm

(just foreclosed another farm)

Heddy Times was there besides

(her head ablaze with laser lights)

Evan Glane appeared at ten

(without, of course, his eighteen men)

Linda Lurch was full of fun

(forgetting she had been a nun)

titter, whisper, wink, bromide

(fun, fern, phone, fine)

witty things around the table

(Rona in her black mink sable)

The Reverend Thorn intoned the grace

(laughter died without a trace)

the wine was good, the meat was thick

(steak or tail -- you had your pick)

Aren't we full of good clean fun!

(our heads a load of should and wit)

(and might and cant and wood and shit)

a splendid time was had by all

(see you next time, one and all)
